wedding update

i have not been actively posting for the past 2 months i think. reason was--im not really doing anything for the wedding! bad me! so when my dear hubby to be took a 3 week vacation we were able to accomplish few of the wedding preps.

pic on the right is the interior of the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice hubby took during our ocular inspection. this is where the ceremony will take place. its not the long aisle type which means i better not have a long trailed gown. we already have an idea up our sleeve on how to make it look at its best with minimal expense. pero surprise na un :P

up here are the pics naman of the reception venue- phoenix avenue gazebo royale. L-R
entrance to phoenix ave; the function area in full lighting effect and the walk way to phoenix ave. amenities include a VIP room for the couple and immediate family, clean comfort rooms, drivers lounge, 2nd floor for the musicians, ponds with flowing water surrounding the area and ample parking space for the guests. they also allow pyrotechnic display but only from accredited supplier (Dragons).

next thing we did were to finalize details of the catering service and finalize the menu.
below are the mock set up of what we have chosen so far. letfmost is a 3 layer candelabra centerpiece. it looked plain kaya we opted to request for more "greens" to adorn the candelabra holders. florist agreed to add formosa vines and moss to give it more magical touch. middle pix is the close up of the centerpiece with red wine colored cross bow ties. rightmost are the basic flowers which include button mums, magenta mums, baby's breath very few roses are also included and as requested a lot of greens. set up is mounted on a circular glass piece to better reflect the light.

menu include:
appetizer - crispy spinach with dip
soup - cream of asparagus
salad - salad bar w/ thousand island dressing and caesars, hawaiian macaroni salad andwaldorf salad
hotbuffet - country style cheesy lasagna, Puttanesca Prima, Pastel de Lengua, Grilled bluemarlin w/ teriyaki sauce & lemon sauce (cooked on the spot), Pesto Chicken, Assorted vegetables w/ kernel corn, steamed rice

dessert - buco pandan w/ lychee, fruit salad and assorted pastries
drinks - iced tea, softdrinks, brewed coffee

we were also able to book our photographer and videographer with ADS wedding studio.
